Purple Tomatillo

Purple tomatillos are a delicious and unusual addition to the garden that thrives surprisingly well in cool and short season climates. The 3 foot bushy plants only need water during drought and benefit from staking. Very productive during August and September. Sunlight encourages the purple colour, with tomatillos shaded by leaves sometimes remaining green (they will still taste fruity and yummy). Open-pollinated.

Grown organically with love and tenderness in the Bruce Peninsula, Ontario, Canada, in the summer of 2023. Germination tested. Minimum 50 seeds.
